What is packaged water?

According to the General Directorate of Public Health, packaged waters are labeled as natural spring waters, natural mineral waters and drinking waters. Except for ozonation in natural spring waters, ozonation in natural mineral waters and the use of active aluminum to remove fluoride, disinfection, etc. any process cannot be applied. All kinds of processes can be applied to drinking water, including disinfection etc. applications.

Inspection of Packaged Water

According to the data of the Ministry of Health, as of November 2024, 397 authorized brands are selling packaged water.

Analysis Reports of many of these brands are not available. Some of them publish old dated reports.

Who Inspects Packaged Water?

Inspection of packaged water is under the authority of the Ministry of Health. According to the web page of the General Directorate of Public Health, water production facilities are inspected at least 4 times a year by the Provincial Health Directorates and once by the Ministry in accordance with the relevant legislation.

In some analysis reports published on packaged water websites, it is written that the sample was not taken by us and the information provided by the customer was taken as basis. It should be explained how the samples were obtained.
